i don’t talk much about my love of volvos on here, but i have grown up with volvos all my life. i drive one now.
i also wear a sweater knotted around my shoulders and enjoy npr and lattes, but we won’t talk about that now.
this two door 283sd wagon, which is pretty rare, reminds me of my first car which was 240 dl wagon with the exact same color scheme.
the car was worth $1000, and it had 180,000 miles on it. but it was mine. i loved that car…that is, before i drove it into the back of a truck when i looked down to change the radio station. in my defense, it was genesis.
unfortunately, it was declared a total by the insurance agent, and i sold it to a mechanic for a few hundred dollars.
then, a month after the accident, i was riding with a friend somewhere when i saw my totaled car back on the road again, with new front fenders & hood. as far as i know, it’s probably still driving around today.
lemmy. cockroaches. volvos.
they live forever.
