Guillermo is a Buenos-Aires based filmmaker who moonlights in collage art when his ideas are too surreal for film. He says, “In a collage, I can put that whole world in a single frame.”

However, his surreal art draws inspiration from the reality of everyday. “Walking through the yard, riding my bicycle: those things inspire me,” although Guillermo further explains, “I want to show another reality…the idea is to shock the viewer with the images.”

this year i got my dad the gift of a half pound of super-fresh gulf grouper. it was a choice between that, wild salmon & chilean sea bass. i believe i chose wisely.

i got to hang out with him for a bit & we bullshited about how awful cable tv programming is, and that was good enough for me. my dad didn’t really want to do anything this year (despite my mom & myself trying to get him to decide on something for the better part of this week).

but this is his father’s day. dude, you can do what you want. you are entitled. and whatever you do, i still love ya. that’s good enough for me.

just enjoy the grouper.
